A Match with a Mission

Cricket is more than bats, balls, and boundaries—it’s a universal thread that connects people together across continents and cultures. From the electrifying cheers of packed international stadiums to the quiet game on dusty village pitches, this beloved sport transcends boundaries, fostering a shared sense of joy and excitement. What if this unifying force could do more than entertain? What if it could turn the pitch into a powerful platform for inspiring harmony and compassion worldwide? The One World One Family Cup amplifies this magic, where every boundary hit and wicket taken helps transform the lives of millions for their betterment.

One World One Family Cup - A Game with a Greater Purpose

The One World One Family (OWOF) Cup is not an ordinary cricket match; it’s a powerful movement driven by a greater purpose: championing unity and compassion through collective action.

Grounded in the ancient Indian philosophy of vasudhaiva kutumbakam, which translates to “One World, One Family", this ethos underscores the deep interconnectedness of all people and calls us to unite for a better world. Organised by the Sri Madhusudan Sai Global Humanitarian Mission, the OWOFCup serves as a platform to support critical humanitarian efforts.

On 8 February 2025, cricketing giants from India and Sri Lanka will take centre stage at the Sai Krishnan Cricket Stadium at Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, Karnataka, for the second edition of this iconic Twenty20 match. The proceeds from the event directly fund initiatives in nutrition, education, and healthcare initiatives, touching countless lives.

Here’s how:

Nutrition: Providing nutritious meals and multi-nutrient supplements to children in underserved communities to combat hunger, hidden hunger and malnutrition.

Education: Offering values-based, quality education to empower young minds and build a resilient and sustainable future.

Healthcare: Offering free, comprehensive medical care to those who need it most through world-class hospitals, wellness centres and outreach programs.

The OWOF Cup Teams: Champions of Unity

Representing the cause are two formidable teams: Team One World India and Team One Family Sri Lanka. The teams’ very names echo the event’s mission to bring people together across geographical boundaries, fostering understanding and camaraderie.

Why It Matters

In a world often divided by borders, ideologies, and conflicts, events like the OWOF Cup remind us of our shared humanity.
